Hey Chad! Thanks for the mention. Good looking blog too, very nice design.

Trying to stay motivated and move past blocks is in some ways like trying to build a better mousetrap. Everyone is trying to find the perfect formula that works for them. Once you do find it though, stick with it.

Hi Chad, thanks for the mention! This is a great list of resources for writers who are stuck.

I second Harry’s advice on devoting just ten minutes to a project you don’t want to do–or five minutes, or even one. Chances are that once you sit down and really focus on what you’re doing, the ideas will start to come. And if they don’t, just write down the first think you think of until you really get going. Some projects are tougher to start than others, but it’s really all in your head.

Harry - it really is all about what works for each person individually, but your tip is right on the money. If you start going on something and get in “the zone” - it’s hard to get out.

It can be hard to start work sometimes, but it sure feels great when you get a lot of it done.

Jennifer - good call on writing whatever you can to get going if you can’t think of anything, I’ve done this before and it has got me into the right mood to do the work that I actually need to do.
